This position is responsible for developing and leading all Global Indirect Strategic Sourcing and Procurement activities that identify, evaluate and select goods and services across the globe that are cost effective, compliant, innovative and reliable to achieve Mylan's mission. Responsible for leading global programs, processess, teams and strategies resulting in value creation for the organization.
Lead collaborative, high performing Indirect Global Strategic Sourcing teams which are empowered to leverage global purchasing power, work collaboratively with key internal stakeholders including legal, finance and operations and foster strategic partnerships with suppliers to deliver value creation and unlock synergies. Recruit, retain, develop and mentor high performing talent and future leaders.
Provide global leadership and strategic direction as it relates to procurement of goods and services including supplier selection, qualification, negotiations, contracting, commercialization, and life cycle management including developing synergy programs across the global platform and supplier base.
Collaborate with Mylan Global Leadership to transform the Sourcing function into a core competency and world-class organization with a foundation consisting of the right people, collaborative supplier partnerships and robust processes and systems that are not only fit for today's needs but also scalable and sustainable. Lead sourcing programs, processes and staff and ensure adherence to approved cost, quality, compliance, service, intellectual property, ethical standards and goals.
Develop strategies and oversee execution of Global Strategic Sourcing risk mitigation programs. Understand and monitor key spending trends, cost drivers, market factors, geographic considerations and strategic importance of critical products within the category in order to implement appropriate sourcing strategies.
Oversee the development, tracking and reporting of global performance metrics, cost drivers, market factors, competitive analysis, benchmarking and risk analysis to monitor performance and allow for data driven decision making.
Develop and implement best-in-class sourcing management processes and techniques . Develop and implement world-class supply chain processes, procedures and negotiation tactics and strategies. Implement best in class e-enabling Procurement tools including Spend analytics, e-Procure to Pay, e-Sourcing (RFx, Auction Capability and Category Management & Suppler Relationship Management).
Partner with key stakeholders to develop and support new and existing initiatives and programs including integration efforts.
Ensure Global Indirect Strategic Sourcing Teams adhere to all Mylan internal policies. Communicate and endorse safety practices, monitor key safety performance indicators and visibly participate in promoting safety policies and initiatives.

Here are the minimum qualifications and essential functions for this position:
Bachelors degree (or equivalent) and a minimum 15 years of experience in Sourcing & Procurement required. Masters degree is required. Related experience may be considered.
12 years of experience specifically with Strategic Sourcing.
Prior experience working for a Global Organization.
Must possess a thorough knowledge of sourcing and purchasing programs and processes, supplier competitive analysis, performance metrics, sourcing strategies, risk mitigation and contract management.
Must possess an understanding of best-in-class sourcing management processes and techniques.
Proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading and writing English is required.
