Business Development and Support:

* Collaboratively with LLP Managers and Heads of SC design and implement sales and marketing strategy
* Support all sales opportunities with End to End focus including Customs Services as a key component
* Contribute to SCM-related tenders and support Tender Management team with expert input engagement in Customs Services Product opportunities and projects
* Support local Business Unit and sales teams
* Collaboratively with LLP Managers and Heads of SC and Legal Services negotiate customer agreements including scope of work and pricing models
* Specify development of internal and external customer facing tools to promote Product growth
* Develop Product pricing models and guidelines

Product Strategy:

* Lead and develop Customs Services as a product with the goal to be recognized as the market leader
* Develop Product branding
* Collaborate and liaise with Area Head IT regarding technology needs
* Collaborate and liaise with Trade Regulation Compliance team regarding Customs Services and compliance procedures
* Determine company policy for Customs Services consistent with overall company policy
* Represent company with Global Customs and Border Protection, other government agency authorities and trade associations
* Collaboratively with LLP Managers and Heads of SC develop a career path for Customs Services Managers focusing on talent recruitment, mentoring, competence building, evaluation and training
* Provide Product communication liaison with LLP Managers, Business Unit Managers and Customs Services Managers (at the Business Unit level)
* Benchmark and evaluate Product services across logistics industry sector
* Lead and measure Product success through development of P&L and budget process and establishment of internal profitability, productivity, customer service and compliance metrics

Business engineering and implementation:

* Contribute to new Logistics, Customs Services and Supply Chain Management account implementation
* Support designing of data-driven workflow processes
* Specify and support Product training requirements
* Contribute to defining and optimizing productivity and efficiency parameters
* Work collaboratively with Business Units to support delivery of operational excellence and service to customers
* Collaboratively with Area Head Business Process & Quality, District Managers and Business Unit Managers and Area Head Trade Regulation Compliance establish, determine and support operating procedures and quality and compliance standards

* Licensed Customs Broker
* Bachelor s degree in related field with a focus in Supply Chain Management, Master s degree a plus
* Knowledge of Logistics and Supply Chain Management on operational, tactical and strategic levels
* Willingness for business traveling (up to 50%)
* 10 years of experience in people management and visionary leadership, including recruitment, training & development, coaching, conflict and performance management (minimum)
* Ability to communicate and interface with Customs and government authorities, peers, customers, employees and vendors
* Excellent communication skills exhibited through oral and written articulation and presentation

* Good knowledge of LLP and 4PL industry
* Good knowledge of the air freight industry
* Good knowledge of the ocean freight industry
* Extensive knowledge of trends and opportunities in the forwarding industry
* Good knowledge of regulatory aspects affecting Panalpina and customer industries
* Good knowledge of markets (customers, competitors, suppliers)
* Extensive negotiation skills
* Extensive knowledge of Supply Chain Management and logistics
* Good knowledge of forwarding and Supply Chain Management IT Systems
* Good financial skills
* Ability to review, analyze and understand contracts
* Technology industry experience is an advantage SKILLS
