Job Description
Assists in the development of Health Economics strategies & leads projects that leverage the value proposition created by the Global & Regional Health Economics, Medical & Business teams. Develops, implements & oversees health economics & outcomes projects to support the Amgen product across its lifecycle. Responsibilities:1. Assists in the development of Global & Regional value propositions 2. Develops pharmacoeconomic models (cost utility, cost effectiveness, cost offset, budget impact, etc), both independently & in collaboration with vendors & key opinion leaders. 3. Assists in the development of annual strategic plans & research projects that support the value proposition including outcomes research, patient reported outcomes, & health economics modeling4. Assists in the creation & maintenance of the Global Value Dossier5. Performs health economics projects from inception to completion & publication including creation of Study Concept Documents, Protocols, Analysis Plans & Final Study Reports6. Review & critique medical & evidence-based outcomes literature7. Manages health economics vendors external to the company8. Works with teams to create & implement payer, value & publication plans 9. Works with Clinical Development study teams10. Interacts with & presents to multiple departments within Amgen: - Health Economists in Europe, Canada & Australia; - Development including Clinical Science & Biostatistics; - Global Commercial including the Global Commercial Leader & Global Pricing;- & US Business Units including Product Director, Access Managers, Corporate Accounts & Global Government Affairs. 11. Builds relationships with Key Researchers & Opinion Leaders12. Manages project budgetsBasic Qualifications -Doctorate degree 2 years of directly related experienceOR-Master's degree 6 years of directly related experienceOR-Bachelor's degree 8 years of directly related experience Preferred Qualifications -Masters, PharmD or PhD in Health Economics, Outcomes Research, Health Services Research.br-3 or more years of experience in global outcomes research including dossier submissions for reimbursement.br-3 or more years of experience developing pharmacoeconomic models.br-3 or more years of experience in PRO/HRQOL research including questionnaire design, evaluation, &/or analysis. -Experience working with consumers of outcomes information. -Sophisticated modeling skills.
