Help Desk / Desktop Support

We are seeking an experienced Help Desk / Desktop Support Associate for our client to work on their IT Support Department. This is contract opportunity that could become permanent.

As the Help Desk / Desktop Support Associate you will be a key person in handling our client's network and system with an emphasis in Microsoft Share Point and SQL Server issues.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements

Provide support and management of Microsoft Share Point and SQL Server. Provide back-up support and general day to day desktop support as directed by the IT Manager. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft operating systems a must. Some networking experience necessary. Ability to work in a flexible and changing environment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

*Ability to work with all levels of personnel throughout the company

*Proficient in Microsoft Share Point and SQL Server

*Knowledge and experience in Symantec data backup and recovery systems

*Helpdesk support: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve, hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and replace defective components as needed

*Knowledge and experience in maintaining and administering MS Server 2003 and Microsoft Exchange

*Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products

EDUCATION

*Associate's degree (AS/AA) in an information technology field from a two year college or technical school or Certification as a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE); two to five years IT related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
