Job Description

NCI: As the Help Desk Specialist - Intermediate at Fort Stewart, GA you will have the opportunity to support the Army customer by resolving any Information Technology issues as they arise. As an NCI team member you will provide the timely and professional phone support that our customers have come to expect; for the Help Desk Specialist, time is of the essence so customer response and resolution or elevation must be quick.

Highlights of Responsibilities:
* Responds to trouble tickets to resolve user problems.
* Maintain and post daily event calendar. Monitor Help Desk mailbox.
* Maintains collection of technical publications pertaining to state-of-the-art hardware and software products and other materials.
* Assists groups or individuals in locating and obtaining materials.
* Able to plan, direct, or carry out special projects involving Help Desk promotion activity as needed.
* Performs a variety of clerical and administrative duties pertinent to Help Desk.
* Provide personal computer support, problem analysis, and hardware/software installation and configuration.
* Provide phone, remote, and desk-side technical support to users in the areas of e-mail, directories, standard MS Windows desktop applications, and network connectivity.
* Provide support to include configuration of systems, communications devices, and peripheral equipment.
* Correct and restore user PC workstations to operational status.
* Provide desk-side training and technical assistance as needed.
* Responsible for supporting customer in MS Windows Vista and Active Directory Structure.
* Capable of adding and removing workstations to the domain; Experience with Remedy.
Requirements:
* Must have Sec+ Certification within the last two years.
* Must have MCTS Certification
* Minimum of 1 year of Help Desk Support.
* Minimum of 1 year of experience with Windows Vista and Active Directory Structure.
* Working knowledge of SMS or other remote tools.
* Must have an active DoD Secret clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret based on a SSBI.
* Must be flexible to work one of 2 shifts covering the 6AM - 3PM or 3PM - 10PM hours of operation, Monday - Friday or Tuesday - Saturday. Shift schedule may rotate.
* Must be able to provide on-call support on a rotating schedule.
* Anticipated start date Feb 29, 2012.
