Job Description:

We are currently looking for an Assistant Superintendent to join our team in the Arizona division The Assistant Superintendent assists the Superintendent in delivering a superior quality home product on time and on budget. The Assistant Superintendent maintains quality control and construction with integrity and professionalism by managing and supervising all aspects of the construction process including off site work, product construction, and customer service. The person in this position will work out of Central Phoenix, and must be able to travel to Mesa or Peoria. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Schedules, runs, and supervises the job site and subcontractors to perform on schedule and on time. Ensures sub-contractors show up and adhere to schedules. Walks each home every day to ensure the quality of the product, and the overall cleanliness, organization and safety of the job site. Ensures quality control throughout the construction process while reviewing the work of the subcontractors to make certain quality standards is being achieved. Conducts bi-weekly safety meetings and enforces/holds all personnel accountable for adhering to safety procedures/standards. Coordinates inspections with government agencies. Prepares and details homes for walk-throughs and coordinates homeowner walk-through items to completion. Helps resolve customer service issues. Assumes all responsibilities of Superintendent when Superintendent is not available. Maintains regular contact with Superintendent, Homeowners, Sub-contractors, Construction Personnel, Sales Personnel, Laborers, Customer Service Personnel, City and County Inspectors, and Potential Buyers. Education and Experience: Be a local candidate Have at least two years of demonstrated experience as an Assistant Superintendent in the home construction industry. Hold a high school diploma or general education degree (GED). Have a valid driver license; vehicle insurance; dust Control Certificate; and working knowledge of construction codes. Solve problems by using judgment based upon knowledge of existing products and tracts, homeowner and/or sub-contractor schedules, management policies, and departmental practices and procedures. Maintain excellent customer service and communicate effectively with homeowners and subcontractors as needed. Be highly organized with the ability to prioritize, handle a multitude of projects simultaneously, and adhere to strict time deadlines. Have working knowledge and understanding of building blue prints, maps, and color charts. Effectively delegate and follow up on tasks with a pleasant and approachable demeanor.
