RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Provides medical consultation to the Hospice Interdisciplinary Team and provides direct medical care to selected patients consistent with Hospice philosophy and program goals and objectives. Works under general direction.
Licensure: Licensed and currently registered to practice medicine in New York State required. Valid driver's license may be required, as determined by operational/regional needs. CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) Certification preferred. Board Certified / Eligible preferred.
Education: Medical Degree required.
Experience: Minimum of two years of medical practice related to Hospice and Palliative Care OR fellowship training in Hospice and Palliative Care required. Prior clinical practice in internal medicine, oncology and palliative care preferred. Bilingual skills may be required, as determined by operational needs required.
