A highly profitable Medical Device company in the San Francisco Bay area is developing disruptive technology in the cardiovascular space and adding new marketing professionals to their commercial team. The organization will be doubling in size over the next five years driven by growth in the interventional cardiology segment. They are looking to hire a market access professional to effectively position their portfolio of products in the hospital channel by translating clinical data into information relevant to GPOs, IDNs, and hospital buying groups. This role will work in a collaborative work environment that involves regular interaction with senior management, meaning a highly visible role for an impactful, strategic player. The Manager / Senior Manager of Strategic Marketing will be responsible for strategic and tactical marketing programs for corporate accounts in the hospital segment. You will create and execute marketing plans in the US across their entire portfolio of products, working closely with colleagues in Medical Affairs, Outcomes Research, Finance, and Sales to craft the health economics value proposition for products in the cardiovascular space and position the company for market access success. Other duties include market segmentation, product positioning, branding, messaging and agency coordination. You will also provide extensive support of the field-based account management team to facilitate high-level business conversations in hospitals and ensure market access for the product line.
This will be a high profile, strategic role that will directly impact the success of initial product launches and of the overall health of the organization. We need a market access professional who has a deep understanding of healthcare reform, has experience working with GPOs and IDNs and can provide leadership on cross-functional teams. The caliber of the organization means that the pace of work is fast and there is high accountability for performance. Excellent interpersonal communication skills are required to influence senior management and champion ideas internally. * 5+ years of overall experience as in the Medical Device, Biotech or Pharmaceutical industry
* 3+ years of marketing experience including developing market access and health economics strategies and tactics
* Extensive support of field-based corporate accounts or managed care teams
* Bachelor's degree or better; MBA preferred
