Job Description

Design, develop, and deploy hospital sales training and development curriculum, for online, field and face-to-face settings. Collaborate to uncover sales effectiveness gaps and provide organization feedback tools or skills based training to close the gap. Support national programs, growth initiatives, and marketing promotions to the field sales force including product development and launch initiatives for the Hospital segment. Supervise trainees during training phases and work with the Hospital Sales Directors to provide feedback on job performance.
Support Quest Diagnostics growth and leadership strategy by providing world-class sales training programs, methods and processes. Works closely to align activities with marketing and, physician sales training.
Drive implementation of the hospital sales training and development strategy that maximizes sales competency levels in product, customer, company, competitor, process, and territory areas.
Design, deliver and manage course curriculum that enables growth and development of hospital sales employees relative to the areas of clinical education, sales strategy and skills, and sales management.
Own and manage training implementation processes including course revisions, audits, communication, and training protocols.
Own and direct vendor relationships relative the designated areas of responsibility.
Build and maintain interdependent relationship/alliance with Marketing coordinating all learning activity and ensuring excellence in sales training processes and delivery.
Integrate and leverage activities with those of the physician segment marketing and training teams.
Identify and share sales training best practices to ensure maximum job performance.
Build and manage a 2-way communication process that provides input/feedback for the ongoing continuous improvement and development of sales training. This can include focus groups, Sales Training Newsletter and collaboration in local and regional sales meetings.
Work collaboratively with Corporate Marketing, Medical, Operations, and Sales Leadership to ensure proper alignment and focus; involve key staff in program development and delivery.
Continually increase knowledge of healthcare and industry trends while keeping pace with training and development innovation.
Monitor entire Sales Training and Development system to ensure continuous improvement and drive toward world-class competence.
Develop and maintain training records for all field hospitals sales representatives
Understand the potential application of new tests and technologies within the hospital segment and advise internal business leaders accordingly.
Working closely with stakeholders to understand the development and rollup process for new hospital-oriented services and products.
Serve as a liaison to the Hospital Marketing team, providing ongoing support for product development, launch, and marketing material.
Preparation of sales training plan when there is a product launch or part of a special focus or promotion in the hospital segment.

andbull; 10 years combined experience in Training and Sales with an emphasis on the Sales Component
andbull; Comprehensive understanding of healthcare and clinical laboratory markets/trends.
andbull; Medical Technology and/or technical background
Experience in curriculum design; andbull; Process and project management skills
andbull; Strong planning and organizing skills
andbull; Exceptional interpersonal communication skills
andbull; Ability to influence and lead others across various functions within the company
