JOB DESCRIPTION No Job Description for a position can possibly include all duties which may be requested by guests or required by the hotel. The objective of all positions is to effectively provide the services personally, or to immediately refer requests to the appropriate department manager. The following is a summary of the major responsibilities of the position. Position: Complimentary Service Host/Hostess Department: Food and Beverage Value Proposition: Create Value for Our Owners, Guests, Team Members, and Community Purpose: Maintenance of established service standards of the Food and Beverage, Outlets, and Room Service. Assist in planning and actuating special events that are public relations worthy. Reports to: Guest Service Manager Essential Functions: Consistent maintenance of/and refinement of service standards. Assist Guest Service Manager in refinement of successful Monthly menu per Hilton standards. Assure consistent maintenance of corporate Food and Beverage systems and control procedures in all "front of house operations". Ensure all items are prepped and prepared for Manager's Reception per Hilton standards. Ensure all items are prepped and set up for the breakfast crew/Evening crew . Wash and sterilize all china and silverware Ensure all trash is removed and taken to the trash dumpster Maintain and clean all equipment nightly Greet and build a repertoire with the hotel guest. Consistent maintenance of environments of all outlets and related areas. Maintenance of all outlet key control procedures. Perform EOM inventories for the Guest Service Manager. Vacuum and mop the area before leaving for the afternoon/evening Stock and/or store Wine/Beer deliveries Organize food storage area Sign and accept all food deliveries and distribute products to appropriate areas. Assures outlet pars of all china, glass, and silver are at identified levels daily. Hotel Specific Essential Functions: Reasonable requests of management as directed Tools and Equipment: Use of: Oven, Food Warmer, Microwave, Dish Sink procedures, Sterilizer, Refrigerator, Freezer, and Ice Maker Working Environment: Interior of hotel, in all areas of the hotel. Exterior of hotel with exposure to weather conditions. Exposure to various hazardous chemicals. Exposure to food items and beverages. Requires ability to lift up to 25 pounds with ease Walking, stooping, standing, bending and sitting; possibly for more than 1 hour Ability to communicate orally and in written form, in English or her supervisor.
