Under the direct supervision of the Patient Service Coordinator, Cook II, F&N Manager, the Host/Hostess II performs a variety of patient food services, catering and dish duties as well as other related tasks.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/COMPETENCIES:Demonstrate excellent customer service skills on a daily basisEffectively demonstrates ability to perform multi tasks in a busy work environmentPrepare food to ensure that the menus are accurate to diet, items are appropriate to menu choices with food served attractively from following established recipes.Adhere to all procedures and protocolsObserve proper dishwashing procedures and follows sanitation and safety regulations/guidelinesRespond to department staffing needsMaintain order and cleanliness in work areaObserve personal cleanlinessAssist food service team members as requested and able, provide backup coverage during breaks, vacations, and illness.Utilize computer for Order EntryDemonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care specific needs of the patients served
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:High School Diploma or equivalentKnowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the population served in Nutritional ServicesOne (1) year experience as a dietary aide at a healthcare food service facilityMust have a current State of Washington Food and Beverage Service Worker PermitAbility to read, write and speak English fluently
