What will I be doing? A Restaurant Host/Hostess with Hilton Hotels and Resorts is responsible for greeting and escorting guests to tables in the restaurant, answer phones, take reservations and supervise all staff, while maintaining courteous and efficient operation of the dining room to ensure guest satisfaction. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: * Meets and greets guests warmly using positive and clear English communication and proper verbiage as they arrive, enforcing the dining room's dress code. Seats guests and assists them by pulling out chairs for them and assisting them with napkins. * Records and makes any necessary arrangements for reservations and special functions received by phone and in person, in the restaurant according to established standards of phone etiquette and directions given by the room manager in a courteous and pleasant manner. * Bids a warm farewell to all guests, thanks them, and asks them to return to the restaurant. * Memorizes the daily station assignments and the names of staff members to ensure adequate coverage. * Maintains neat, legible records of seating, total cover count, team cover count, and guest breakdown for the log book.
