We are currently seeking a hands-on General Manager who will lead the hotel while promoting our Mission and Vision.


* Ensures that all decisions and resulting actions are aligned with the Company policy of 100% guest satisfaction producing a high level of service.
* Responsible for the strategic and tactical direction of all marketing, administrative, financial, human resources and hotel operations.
* Strategic decision-making resulting in customer satisfaction, operational excellence, associate satisfaction, revenue and profit.
* Facilitates the preparation of hotel budgets and forecasts for corporate submission and approvals.
* Directs hotel actions required maximizing profitability, increasing service levels and improving team member satisfaction.
* Oversees the sales and marketing activity and results. Participates in sales and marketing strategy meetings. Participates in efforts to secure business and increase revenues.
* Leads Executive Committee members to ensure overall profit, service and team member satisfaction goals are met or exceeded. * Proactively drives profitability to meet hotel and company goals.
* Performs the role of industry spokesperson and representative for the hotel.
* Builds positive relationships between the Hotel and Corporate departments.
* Provides constructive and consistent coaching, counseling and direction to Hotel associates. Actively participates and supports the selection, development, training, mentoring and empowerment of Hotel Associates.
* Manages the Quality process in areas of customer service and associate guest satisfaction.
* Motivates and provides a work environment in which staff is productive and compensated fairly.
* Manages group or interpersonal conflict situations effectively. Provides appropriate recognition to motivate associates.
* Systematically interprets, analyzes and manages data to accomplish strategic objectives as defined by our vision and customer needs.
* Secures sources of new business as well as maintains existing accounts
* Participates in sales related events, receptions, family trips, trade shows, client meetings etc.
* Understands the Hotel product and brand identity and incorporates it into all internal and external activities.
* Ensures that associates uphold all service procedures and communication standards as outlined by Standard Operating Procedures.
* Administers required associate reference guide practices such as performance and aptitude reviews
* Provides an issue free work environment through motivation, support, empowerment and development for all personnel.
* Proactively strives to build positive working relationships through teamwork and clear communication resulting in win/win decisions.


* Minimum of 10years of senior hotel leadership experience is required, 4years of which as a hotel General Manager in a 4 or 5 Star property of similar size is required. Prior experience as a Rooms Executive is required. Prior experience in a major metropolitan city at a four or five Star property is required.
* Four year College degree is required
* Prior experience managing a unionized labor force is required.
* Proven team leader with a high level of energy and motivation with a proven track record of living the company's values.
* Results oriented with an emphasis on both individual and team accountability.
* Has led a diverse staff, and is experienced in managing an organized labor work force.
* Extensive knowledge of hotel operations, sales and marketing, food and beverage human resources and hotel financial processes and analysis.
* CLS and Delphi experience is strongly preferred
* Working knowledge with Solomon, Call Accounting/NEC, On Command, VingCard and Expresso Systems are preferred
* Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Proven team leader with a high level of energy and motivation with a proven track record of living the company's values.
* Ability to create, implement and analyze manual and automated reports.
* Comprehensive knowledge of all market segments and management strategies and techniques.
* Working knowledgeable of legal and contractual agreements.
* Ability to develop and manage budgets and control costs in relation to revenue.
