In our 60-bed chemical dependency unit, detoxification is conducted under close medical supervision. The team of physicians and our around-the-clock nursing staff provide the needed assessment and care. The Recovery Program offers a professional approach to the treatment of chemical dependencies. Our treatment team includes Certified Addictions Counselors, Masters and Bachelors level clinicians, and nurses. Our Military Initiative Program opened in June 2010 to treat active military personnel dealing with chemical dependency and mental health issues. The co-occurring program developed by our Treatment Team is a dynamic and multifaceted approach for this specialized treatment program. Roxbury also has an acute psychiatric unit treating individuals with mental illnesses who need short-term hospitalization. This program specializes in treating adult patients who are suffering from co-occurring disorders; mental illness and substance useabuse issues. Staffed with mental health techs and nurses around the clock, our Chief Medical Officer and psychiatrists oversee this cutting edge psychiatric treatment program. We also offer individual and group chemical dependency therapy at our outpatient clinics located in Carlisle and Chambersburg. The position for which we are recruiting is House Supervisor. The RN House Supervisor provides administrative and clinical supervision to all staff throughout the hospital on assigned shift. The RN House Supervisor is a liaison to department directors and administration to insure coordinated and efficient operations of services and departments. Primary responsibilities include providing administrative management, prioritization and delegation of duties for all facility staff, staff and program scheduling, and performing direct patient care services. This individual will work in cooperation with hospital leadership, physician staff and other department managers. The RN House Supervisor promotes patient care consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Roxbury Treatment Center. Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program. One year prior experience in inpatient or mental health nursing preferred. Must possess knowledge of co-occurringchemical dependency patients, medical criteria for acceptanceexclusion of patients, all nursing responsibilities for the sub-acute, residential and hospital setting; medical and psychiatric and pharmacological interventions; age specific patient issues, limit setting and behavior management; crisis prevention and intervention techniques; knowledge of PA state, Joint Commission, and Mental Health licensing standards for all nursing functions; staff development procedures and requirements.
