Basic Function To supervise the Room Attendants and ensure the hotel maintains an impeccable condition to achieve Hotel Managers Group standards of quality. REPORTS TO: Housekeeping Manager SPECIFIC DUTIES Primary Responsibilities Have a working knowledge of approved Hotel Managers Group housekeeping methods and cleaning techniques.Adhere to cleaning procedures and instructions for use of cleaning agents. Ensure thorough dusting of all furniture, pictures, and shelves has been completed.This will require extending arms over head, bending and stooping as needed. Ensure thorough cleaning and polishing of all metal surfaces has been completed. Must be able to communicate with employees both verbally and in writing. Check on linen consumption, housekeeping supplies, care of furniture and appearance of building and fixtures.Complete and distribute maintenance request forms as needed. Teach, train and improve techniques of all Housekeeping employees. Assist the Housekeeping Manager in inspecting all check-out rooms prior to turning them into the Front Desk.Never enter a guest room before the Room Attendant has completed cleaning the room.Ensure that they have been cleaned and furnished to standard. Assist the Housekeeping Manager in inspecting all public areas. Ensure neatness and cleanliness of linen room.Issue all supplies and linens as directed by the Housekeeping Manager. Assist the Housekeeping Manager in taking end-of-month inventories and requisitioning supplies. Inspect maids carts daily for cleanliness, condition and availability of equipment.Also responsible for making sure all storage areas are locked at the end of the day. Each morning check all ready rooms to make sure they are acceptable for early morning check-ins.Should a tidy be necessary, tidy the room.If a rooms needs extensive cleaning, report to the Housekeeping Manager for Room Attendant assignment.Notify the Housekeeping Manager of the change of room status.
