IDEAL CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate will perform a combination of tasks that maintain hotel premises in a clean and orderly manner, thereby contributing to a pleasant, positive guest experience. RESPONSIBILITIES: Display good customer relation skills and take initiative to greet guests in a friendly manner. Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas. Moves/arranges furniture and dusts/polishes furniture, metalwork, and equipment. Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors, using brooms and mops and powered scrubbing and waxing machines. Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, using a vacuum cleaner. Collects soiled linens for laundering and receives and stores linen supplies in the linen closet. Refurnishes room with supplies, towels, etc. as required. Stocks cleaning cart with appropriate supplies for the shift. Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork; washes windows, door panels, and sills. Empties wastebaskets and empties and cleans ashtrays. Transports trash and waste to disposal area. Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions to management; complete safety training and certifications. Deliver items to floors when requested and assist with others areas of the hotel when needed. Ensure uniform and appearance is clean and professional, Protect company assets. Other duties as assigned.
