Job Summary:

The Human Resource Generalist coordinates implementation of human resources services, policies and programs within Prestige and assigned business entities. The HR Generalist develops strong working relations with leadership and employees and serves as a consultant and key advisor in workforce initiatives aimed at improving work relations, building morale, increasing productivity and retention and assuring legal compliance with state, federal and regulatory requirements. Requires travel to Prestige locations.

Essential Functions:

Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of leadership and staff within the organization and assigned business entities.
Provide consultation to supervisory and leadership staff on the performance management process including coaching, counseling, career development and disciplinary action for staff.
Work with leadership to create, revise and maintain current and accurate job descriptions.
Provides consultation in employee or labor relations issues. May include conducting effective, thorough and object investigations of complex employee relations issues or complaints.
Provide guidance to leadership and employees on the interpretation and application of company policies, practices and processes.
Facilitate the development and administration of programs, procedures and guidelines to assist management to align the workforce with the strategic goals of Prestige.
Maintain knowledge of benefits, leave administration and recruiting to effectively serve as a liaison to assigned entities as required.
Develop, deliver and evaluate training regarding HR programs and services using principles of adult learning.
Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with leadership and the HR team to identify opportunities, develop solutions, programs and policies. Works to understand and improve employee turnover in assigned entities.
Effectively identify, initiate and influence change, managing and supporting other through the process.
Maintain professional and personal development, staying informed of state, national and regulatory changes that impact the delivery of HR services.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university. A combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of education requirements.
SPHR or PHR preferred.
A minimum of three years of Human Resources experience preferred.
Healthcare or Long Term Care experience preferred.
Able to communicate effectively, in English, with personnel at all levels of the organization, with residents and their friends and family, and with members of the community.
