JOB DESCRIPTION

COBHAM is seeking an HR Administrator that will be responsible for providing support to the site employees and management, including working special projects to ensure HR services are effectively delivered. This requires exceptional energy and results-orientation with the ability to complete complex tasks in an effective manner. This position is located in Hauppauge, NY.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

*
Participate as a member of the site and Business Unit HR team to provide general HR administrative support. Could act as the lead on a particular HR process, as assigned.

*
Expert user of HR systems in order to maintain accurate employee records, process starters / leavers, transfers, promotions, etc

*
From the HRIS data, create and run reports in such a manner that allows for accurate, crisp interpretation of the data sets for data-driven decision making. Including, compiling weekly and monthly reports, workforce statistics, presentations, correspondence, agreements and org charts

*
Be relentless about high quality data management

*
Promote employee engagement, productivity and positive workplace morale

*
Effectively assist in resolving employee issues and answering employee questions, credibly interacting with all levels of the organization.

*
Generate HR communications

*
Coordinate employee events.

*
Manage time effectively ensuring seamless customer service to the strong satisfaction of the workforce and leadership team

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma and 6 years of human resource experience.

*
Experience with HR practices and improving HR processes

*
Experience with data management in HRIS systems and linkage to Payroll, benefits, leave administration, etc

*
Experience with Word, Excel & PowerPoint

*
This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by export laws of the US. In order to be eligible you must be either a US Citizen or Permanent Resident

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

*
Degree strongly preferred

*
Experience handling sensitive/confidential information strongly preferred

*
Experience building relationships at all levels of the organization to inspire trust, motivate, influence and bring out productivity

*
HR data analysis experience

*
Experience with Government contracting regs, OFCCP and EEO/AAP requirements

*
Experience in manufacturing, or aerospace / defense industry

*
Experience in a matrixed organization

*
Prior experience contributing to change initiatives

*
Experience being responsible for project deliverables

*
Experience with collective bargaining units / represented employee population
