Human Resources Advisor
HR Advisor will partner with Leaders and Managers to be the culture steward of sgsco and its brands. Acts as a change agent, recruits talent, implements and manages performance plans, employee relations and talent reviews.
Focused on the supporting the Global Design and Sales Organization with direct impact to the North American team.
Essential Responsibilities, Accountabilities & Results
*Reinforces the values of sgsco and its brands to ensure employees understand the expected behaviors and competencies to make a great place to work Engagement scores reflect a positive change in the organization. High scores in areas of recommending the organization as a great place to work and referring candidates to the organizations
*Implements and supports the implementation of change in the organization whether that be re-organization, new policies, changed policies and or practices Behaviors change as a result of the support by the HR Advisor
*In partnership with Talent Acquisition; develops a good understanding of the hiring needs and the specific requirements and expectations for open positions; Delivers high quality candidates for the open positions
*Implements recruiting plans, negotiates with hiring managers and hires great talent for the organization with support from their TA partner; Educates & Empowers managers to make quality hiring decisions
*Implements and guides the organization on performance management planning and development. Supports managers on coaching and counselling for performance improvement and hi-potential development Creates a high performance culture where employees understand the link between performance and rewards
*Coaches employees, managers and leaders on employee relations issues while reinforcing the organizations goals and values Creates an environment of safety, trust and honesty in the workplace
*Partnering with Talent Management participates in 9 Box exercise, talent coaching, preparation for talent reviews and development planning Succession plans exist for key influential roles and top talent is retained and promoted appropriately
*Supports the implementation and communication of company Total Rewards and Benefit programs Employees understand the programs and rewards that are offered within the organization
*Guides leaders on their individual/departmental/team or BU engagement results and supports them on building key strategies Delivers an engaged workforce
*Project management, interviewing, networking, coaching, negotiating and relationship building skills
*Critical to the role is the ability to communicate effectively at an individual level and amongst small groups.
*Technical understanding of employment laws and performance management
*Ability to maintain confidentiality, follow instructions and possess an attention to detail and ability to work accurately
*Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook) and possess ability to navigate and use other web-based systems as necessary
*Possess a positive attitude and establish good working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
*High sense of urgency in providing strong level of service and follow-through
Educational & Experience Minimum Requirements
*Bachelor's degree and more than four years of experience in Human Resources or related field.
*SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred
*While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
