JOB DESCRIPTIONJOB SUMMARY
Responsible for assisting in daily employee relations duties and maintaining specific human resource records to include but not limited to Personnel Records, Turnover, Transfers/Promotions, etc.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND COMPETENCIES
* Will demonstrate confidentiality * Will demonstrate effective communication,both written & verbal * Will demonstrate effective interpersonal skills * Will be able to work weekends and off-shifts as needed * Will demonstrate basic knowledge of federal and state employment regulations
QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
* Acts as a resource to all co-workers * Assists in monitoring and supporting company policies and procedures and federal/state regulations, to include but not limited to FMLA, ADA, sexual harassment investigations, etc. * Performs new co-worker orientations and sets up new co-workers, includes card access duties for new and existing coworkers * Conducts exit interviews with staff to determine if corrective actions may retain valued staff and forwards findings to Human Resource management * Maintains and assists in developing various reports in the HR Department. * Assists with community events and employee events (company picnic, etc.) * Assists with Recruiting functions: 1. Schedules interviews and maintains applicant records 2. Performs reference, education and background checks 3. Assists with the organization and attends job fairs when required * Maintains coworker files and other HR records * Performs department audits
2+ years Human Resource experience preferred; 2+ years experience with Microsoft Office; Experience is a manufacturing setting is desirable.
High School Diploma or GED; 2+ years Human Resource experience preferred; 2+ years experience with Microsoft Office
