JOB DESCRIPTIONHUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER
Position Human Resources/UNION EXPERIENCE
Primary function: Organize, plan, implement, control and follow up all plant staffing, training and safety (SAFETY is huge) functions.

Reports to Vice President/General Manager
2.New hire orientation. Assist in Union contract negotiations.
3.New employee training.
4.Safety programs, plant inspections, supervise Training & Safety Coordinator.
5.Record keeping - Federal and State mandated reports.
6.Workers Compensation - first report, employee claims, accident investigations, and follow up with insurance carriers.
7.Disciplinary action - Maintain records, recommend actions consistent with Union contract. Terminations.
8.Illness and injury Prevention Program.
9.Interface with job training partnership, EDD and other government and private employment agencies.
10.Plan, organize, and implement employee functions and programs. Plant labor wage increases.
1.8 years experience in the human resources field.
2.5 years experience in the safety field.
3.Must be able to demonstrate clear and precise communication skills, both written and oral.
4.Must be able to be completely mobile in the production plants and at the jobsite.
DESIRABLE BUT NOT ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
2.Possess a B.A. or B.S. degree from an accredited college.
3.First-aid experience, and capable of training first-aid to plant supervisors.
