Human Resources Manager Tracking Code 604 Job Description GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE: Under the general direction of the Director, Human Resource & Benefits, this position is responsible for managing all aspects of the employment and benefits for the non-exempt staff in the Bud of California division of Dole Fresh Vegetables. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION: Manage and oversee all hourly benefits administration, including employee health benefits. enrollment, third-party claims administration, Open Enrollment and employee communication.Prepare and participate in industry wage surveys to administer the internal data base of wage and benefits information for non-exempt employees.Responsible for regular reports to HR management and Finance department regarding hourly benefits, analysis of cost effectiveness and identify cost containment options.Supervisor administrative functions of non- employment and benefit department.Trains supervisors, forepersons and employees on the policies and procedures.Reviews and provides recommendations on HR policies in compliance with changing or new legislation.Adheres to all federal, state and local regulations governing the employment process; keeps applicant files in good order for applicant tracking purposes.Organizes and conducts recruitment programs.Prepares and places employment advertising in appropriate venuesManages recruitment expenses to stay within budgetary guidelines.Develop and maintain relationships with temporary and other employment agenciesProactive, identifying practical solutions to complex and diverse HR issues, and recommending appropriate action plans.Investigates sensitive complaints/allegations and works with managers to address areas of concerns.Develops and maintains current job descriptions for all positions.Other duties as assigned. Required Skills SKILLS: Advanced knowledge of various employment laws and practices in the State of California and Arizona required. Knowledge of multi-state employment law desired.Thorough knowledge of and the ability to apply principles and practices of personnel administration.Experience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs.Pragmatic problem-solving skills.Articulate communicator and ability to interpret and explain written and statistical data to a wide range of audiences.High standard of attention to detail.Ability to convey difficult and challenging information to managers.Expert Microsoft Office skills like Word, Outlook, Excel and HRIS.Ability to manage time and prioritize workExcellent organizational management skillsBilingual English/Spanish required Required Experience EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION: Minimum of 6 years Human Resources experienceMinimum of 2 years HR Manager experienceBachelor s degree in Human Resource Administration, Business Administration, or related field required.
