ROLE SUMMARY:

Provide assistance in general Human Resources, Labor and Employee Relations issues throughout the company.

RESPONSIBILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:

*

Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures and reporting are in compliance.
*

Ensures management is in compliance with hiring, termination, promotion, performance review, safety and sexual harassment policies and procedures.
*

Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations and disciplinary issues.
*

Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures and programs.
*

Investigates and resolves employee relations and personnel issues. Conduct employee counseling and/or interventions as needed.
*

Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
*

Prepare and distribute HR-related documents as required (i.e., Personnel Policies, etc.).
*

Assists in the development and filing of the annual Affirmative Action Plan, EEO-1 and Vets-100 reports.
*

Furthering the goals of the internal succession planning process and identifying internal resources for current and potential movement by having active involvement in the Project Management for People process.
*

Assists with BuckIdeas employee recognition program logistics.
*

Manages the Company repository of job descriptions.
*

Develop RFP s for vendor selection as needed.
*

Undertake additional responsibilities and projects as determined by HR leadership as needed.
*

And other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

*

EDUCATION: Bachelor s Degree in Human Resources, Business or other related discipline OR equivalent combination of experience and education required.

*

Experience: 4-8 years of general HR experience required (policy development, compensation, benefits, etc.).
*

Must be proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel/Access/PowerPoint.
*

Knowledge of SharePoint and experience with UltiPro or other HR/Payroll software a plus.
*

Knowledge of COGNOS or similar report writing software preferred.
*

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Travel to field locations required as necessary.
*

RELOCATION: This position requires the ability to relocate to one of Buckeye s operational or field locations at the discretion of HR Leadership.

CERTIFICATES & LICENSES:

*

PHR or SPHR a plus.

To be successful in this position, incumbent must possess excellent communication, both written and verbal, as well as excellent organizational skills.

Incumbent must exercise tact, discretion, and professionalism when dealing with internal and external customers and in handling sensitive and confidential information.
