Job Description
The Hyperion Technical Manager will be responsible for managing the design, installation, configuration, and support of the Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) infrastructure portfolio, including Hyperion Planning, Essbase, Financial Data Quality Management, Oracle Data Integrator, and BI Plus. Candidates must have a solid infrastructure background with knowledge in a broad range of infrastructure technologies and client/server applications, as well as experience performance tuning and testing EPM solutions.
Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:
*Develop, manage and execute projects to address both the tactical and strategic objectives of the EPM team
*Build and maintain Hyperion 11.1.2.1 multi-server environments
*Manage migration process across environments (Development, Test, Production)
*Lead project team members in conducting current state/future state infrastructure analysis to support the growing complexity of the business
*Research and implement improvements to the EPM architecture
*Develop effective standards, best practices, procedures and key metrics to enhance operational stability of the tools supported
*Manage all application activities related to system upgrades and migrations
*Maintain change management procedures for all Hyperion applications
*Conduct project status meetings with clients and staff, and negotiate and communicate changes regarding project scope, timing and budget.
*Function collaboratively as part of a fast-paced, customer oriented team and perform effectively as an independent producer under broad management direction.
*In addition, the successful candidate will demonstrate the desire to participate in a strong and dedicated team of professionals whose mission is to provide excellent service.
Basic qualifications:
*Experience with overall Infrastructure environments including networking, SAN, and security
*Demonstrated development experience with Hyperion Planning and Essbase, including Calculation Scripts and Business Rules and Forms
*Administrative and/or installation experience with Hyperion applications including FDM/FDQM, EPMA, DRM, ODI, etc.
*Hands-on experience with server configuration and server management for Hyperion Version 11 in a Windows environment
*Experience with detailed documentation including technical specification, architecture diagrams, process flows, and conversion strategies
*Experience writing Life Cycle Manager (LCM) procedures
*Experience applying Hyperion EPM tuning techniques
*Demonstrated managerial experience in implementing and maintaining EPM technical solutions across all phases of the project life cycle
Desired skills:
*Strong organizational skills including an ability to establish priorities, exercise good judgment, meet deadlines, and ensure issues are addressed in a timely manner.
*Understanding of Sarbanes Oxley principles and practices
*Strong written and oral communication, client interaction and presentation skills
*Ability to work independently with minimal direction
*Expertise with Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Project, Visio and Excel
