MGH Institute of Health Professions, founded by Massachusetts General Hospital, is an innovative and independent graduate school in Boston that is a member of Partners HealthCare. The Institutes Department of Physician Assistant Studies offers a progressive 25 month generalist PA program located in the citys historic Charlestown Navy Yard. The program has received Accreditation-Provisional from the ARC-PA and is scheduled for a provisional monitoring visit (step two in the new provisional accreditation process) in April of 2017.
We are seeking applications for a full-time faculty to join our dynamic team of faculty and staff in the Department of Physician Assistant Studies. The IHP's affiliation with Partners HealthCare System offers unparalleled resources for faculty and students to learn and work in a variety of settings. The programs innovative, integrated curriculum which is primarily delivered using Team-based Learning is designed to focus on the learner and allow faculty the opportunity to mentor students into thoughtful and highly skilled PAs. Faculty are responsible for curriculum development, delivery, and evaluation in both didactic and clinical components of the program, student advising, developing collaborative opportunities with community partners, and contributing to interprofessional education within the Institute. Faculty play a prominent role in the program's ongoing self-study process. These positions include an expectation of serving on Institute committees and participating in scholarly activities.

These positions are 12-month appointments, with rank and salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. The Institute does not have tenure.
Faculty must hold a master's degree, be an NCCPA-certified physician assistant or a board-certified physician with eligibility for licensure in Massachusetts and at least 5 years of clinical experience. Other qualified individuals may be considered, such as pharmacologists and nurse practitioners. The applicant should have strong communication and organizational skills, with evidence of leadership.
