IMS Database Analyst - OH - Columbus

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an IMS Database
Analyst for a long-term contract assignment with one of our premier financial
industry clients in Columbus, OH. Must have experience with IBM z/Series
IMS in a banking financial services environment (other technical needs
listed below)Responsibilities:Drives database creation and management activities
of the database management teams. Create business case objectives for exploiting
new features/functions/products/solutions that enhance or enable database
environment efficiency and/or address specific business requirements. Identify
and address requirements in cooperation with other work streams to validate
and socialize proposed enhancements/solutions. Create implementation and
deployment strategies addressing levels of availability and isolation that
minimize risk and exposure. Set direction and guidelines for data integration
across domains/applications Set best practices and ensure their implementation
for each domain/application as it relates to data organization, administration/management,
and usage. Provide detailed requirements on support and system resources,
exploitation standards, operation management, and best practices required
for deployment of new technology. Identify detailed functional and operational
requirements mandating management of various utilities and overall data
maintenance cycle strategy. Create critical component list for Database
