We have an immediate opening for an IP Specialist based in our Denver office. If you are a results-driven individual who enjoys the challenge of working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, this would be an ideal position for you.

Essential Duties

Manage and maintain IP portfolio, including all patents and trademarks at various stages of applications; and manage through the application processes to completion

Maintain task/reminder list of docketingdeadlines; run Docketingreports for the Attorney for upcoming deadlines; and prepare deadlinereports to forward to clients.

Manage the creation of IP documents including, but not limited to, invention memos developed by the Attorney; documents for filing with the USPTO and/or transmitting to foreign agents; and ensure documentation is complete.

Conduct patent and trademark searches for status of applications with the USPTO and various foreign databases.

Participate in the creation of IP by engaging in research; drafting and proofing various documents; and completing filings with the USPTO or forwarding to foreign agents to complete filings.

Manage information and reporting relating to the IP portfolio with Attorney, Docketing, clients, and foreign agents.

Research patent and trademark rules and regulations as directed by the Attorney, as well as staying abreast of changes made in rules and regulations by the USPTO.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5+ years of relevant work experience as an IP Specialist and/or IP Administrative Assistant with experience in the research, preparation, filing, and reporting processes.

Skills related to patent and trademark searches, prosecution of patent and trademark applications, and management of intellectual property portfolios.

Preferred expertise in MS Word, MS Outlook, Elite, PATTSY, Adobe, EFS-Web, and Public and Private PAIR.
