JOB DESCRIPTIONAPPLY The Superior Group is presently recruiting an IT Audit Manager for our client in the financial services industry.
This position provides audit department professional leadership and can be based in Brookfield, WI or Alpharetta, GA and report to the Vice President, IT Audit. The selected candidate must be willing to travel up to 30%, primarily domestically, but also internationally as necessary. Travel will be managed a level below 30% to the extent practicable.
This position will manage audits and oversee execution of audit procedures designed to aid the department in achieving the performance objectives for each audit engagement. This position will also administer select audit operations, including staff supervision (potentially comprising 3-6 associates), engagement oversight and administration across a variety of disciplines and areas, department quality and improvement initiatives and internal customer relationship management. The Manager, IT Audit will have significant internal client and executive interface, and as such requires strong professional presence, communication and decision making skills.
The successful candidate will be capable of identifying and addressing audit issues and trends across a variety of business areas and risk exposures, including technology and operational matters.
Required Skills / Qualifications:
Eight or more years of experience with progressive leadership responsibilities, either in a Fortune 500 internal audit function, professional services firm or other professional organization. Although financial services experience is highly desired, other industry experience will be considered as appropriate
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
Prior supervisory experience
Technical proficiency in one or more of the following areas:
Application Security (including OWASP concepts and application architecture and controls)
Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Planning
Client Services & Implementations
Computer Operations (including capacity, performance, and problem management)
Enterprise Resource Planning and Business Management Solutions (including SAP)
Database Administration & Security (including Oracle, Microsoft SQL)
Information Security & Data Privacy
Mainframe (Unisys, IBM), Midrange (iSeries) and Distributed (Windows, UNIX) Systems
Network & Infrastructure Architecture and Security (including network segmentation concepts, firewalls, routers, VPN solutions etc.)
Systems Development (including SDLC, project management and change control methodologies)
Physical Security & Data Center Environmental Controls
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
Professional services experience, acquired from a Big 4 environment or highly regarded consulting firm
Financial services experience, including working in highly regulated environments
Technology acumen and aptitude
General understanding of laws, regulations (GLBA) and standards (PCI DSS, PA-DSS) governing high tech and financial services industry
