This is a member of the Enterprise Application Management team which is responsible for IT environment ownership and tier 3 application support. The candidate will be responsible for the continuous care and feeding of several middleware technologies primarily from a security perspective.
* Provide hands on technical support and environment ownership for several Front End and Specialty applications.
* Change review gate for supported applications.
* Project support for new and existing application implementations.
* Deep dive troubleshooting for high impact events.
* Identify monitoring opportunities for early detection and prevention to increase system up time.
* Create playbooks that can be transitioned to tier 2 support teams for incident resolution for supported applications.
* Collaborate with IT Infrastructure and application teams.
Experience in multi-platform distributed environment
3 years of Middleware administration experience including configuring, troubleshooting, performance tuning, WebSphere Application Server, Apache, Tomcat, Mule, and DataPower.
Wily experience a plus
Proficient in working with Certificates, TLS, and associated tools such as ikeyman.
Unix and/or Windows scripting (Korn Shell, Perl, SQL, Oracle, Java, or Jython, VBScript, PowerShell)
Unix/Linux/Windows O/S administration is a plus
Working knowledge and understanding of Networking/Routing concepts, firewalls, and load balancers.
Advanced problem solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve complex issues with innovative solutions
College degree in Information Systems or related field, or equivalent work experience.
Very detail oriented and experience working in a production environment using Change Control practices and working under technical project plans and timelines.
Ability to work independently on projects.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are required
Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate project deadlines
