JOB DESCRIPTIONIT Manager Quality Assurance (452858)
PRIMARY PURPOSE: To
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops, manages and implements QA standards, procedures and practices that limit risks to the organization.
Manages and directs test plan development and execution; defines testing objectives and methodologies in support of implementations, projects and production support.
Manages and directs configuration and release management; actively leads in review, modification and implementation of processes and procedures to support a rapid release objective while ensuring high quality implementation.
Manages QA team to ensure that organizational priorities are being addressed in a timely and efficient manner with strong focus on customer service and support.
Identifies improvement opportunities and establishes plan to implement improvements and/or enhancements; establishes and implements audit processes and procedures for QA team.
Supports the identification and resolution of complex issues; ensures procedures are documented to resolve complex issues.
Prepares activity and progress reports regarding activities of QA and configuration management.
Manages QA team including (but not limited to) setting priorities, establishing goals, meeting deadlines, mentoring, and supporting development of skills and knowledge.
Keeps up-to-date with technology changes and direction; recommends new tools or revised processes to senior management.
Works with peers and other organizational leaders to improve delivery of service and support.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs other duties as assigned.
Supports the organization's quality program(s).
Administers company personnel policies in all areas and follows company staffing standards and training recommendations.
Interviews, hires and establishes colleague performance development plans; conducts colleague performance discussions.
Provides support, guidance, leadership and motivation to promote maximum performance.
Education & Licensing:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred. Major in Information Services or Management strongly preferred.
Ten (10) years of systems, development and QA experience or equivalent combination of education and experiencerequired to include four (4) years supervisory or project management experience.
