Department Overview: The Corporate Compliance group within Corporate Segment Technology Solutions is responsible for the delivery and support of the technology solutions for the Corporate Compliance business unit, including application such as the Compliance Events Management System, the Regulatory Oversight Analysis Database, and Branch Visits; all of which are Distributed applications. Within the larger portfolio, applications such as the Anti Money Laundering (AML) system and Corporate Compliance (CPC) are also included, and reside on the mainframe and on distributed AIX platforms. We are seeking an IT Specialist to work on various compliance projects. The candidate will be responsible for assisting with analysis tasks, assisting with gathering business requirements, complete complex design and development tasks, and provide design, development and testing oversight. The candidate will serve as a Technical Lead on various compliance projects.Job Description: Perform analysis to support business strategies and initiatives. Define, document and translate high level business requirements into system requirements specifications Create clear and concise documentation of design options and solutions, based on specifications from business requirements. Design and develop quality solutions consistent with project objectives and client requirements Ensure solutions adhere development best practices and Architectural principles Proficient in communicating technical descriptions of defects to Senior Management, Vendors and developers. Work with IT management and the client to ensure effective communication, integration of project issues and deliverables, and solutions that meet the business requirementsPerform analysis, design, and programming, following system development life cycle (SDLC) methodology Contribute to team success by meeting key project milestones and overall project deliverables on time and within budget, while adhering to development and quality standardsDevelop effective solutions by researching/analyzing issues People and team leadership skills:The candidate must possess the following:As a senior member of the team, mentoring, coaching and delegation skills are required. Promote and support an environment that encourages productivity, innovation, teamwork, and a high level of professionalism. Experience managing multiple technical resources with various technical skill levels. The selected candidate will be involved in prioritizing the team's workload and serving as an escalation point for external departments. Participate in knowledge transfer with the team and business unitsConducting and participating in code reviewsOther Qualifications/Skills/Experience: The candidate must possess the following:Experience as technical lead providing direction and oversight to a team of analysts and developers Ability to understand and acquire new technical skillsAbility to code, debug and trouble shoot with minimal supervisionAbility to work effectively in a team setting and in a fast paced environmentProven track record of delivering results ensuring operational, reputational, and proprietary risks are minimized. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work in a fast paced environment. Strong customer orientation and a professional approach with the ability to interact with all levels within the organization. Highly developed critical thinking, analytical and problem solving skills. Strong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to effectively communicate technical issues to non technical individuals Ability to work independentlyExperience in the following technical skills/tools: Hands on JavaEE application design and development, SAS Macro programming, AIX/Unix, DB2, SAS, WebSphere, JCL, TSO, MKS Integrity (Mercury Test Tool), CA7 (scheduling tool), and HP Quality CentrePermanent position.
