Primary Accountability

The Information Technology (IT) Support Specialist will provide end-user training, software and hardware problem resolution by performing question/problem diagnosis and guiding users through step-by-step solutions in a help desk environment. This position is also responsible for assisting with the installation and maintenance of computer hardware, software and networks.
Major Duties

Collaborate with IT Manager and Department Leaders to develop IT orientation program for new hires.
Deliver orientation to new users of existing technology.
Build rapport with end-user by providing training and responding to software and hardware problem resolution in a user-friendly and professional manner.
Installs and repairs Macintosh computers with standardized applications and networking software, diagnosing and solving problems associated with those systems in a timely and efficient manner.
Assist with documentation of computer systems and services.
Maintain log and/or list of required repairs and maintenance.
Troubleshoot hardware, software and network operating systems.
Assist in the setup, support and maintenance of in-house audio visual equipment.
Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Qualifications

Associates degree in Information Technology, and two (2) years desktop support experience; including significant training in network installation, operations and troubleshooting.

Professionally and effectively communicate both verbally and in written format.
Ability to develop and write training and documentation materials on a variety of computer-related topics, and to deliver training and instruction to individuals and small groups in a classroom setting.

Ability to organize, multi-task, plan and set priorities with minimal supervision.

Ability to work independently and be highly motivated.

Ability to exercise good judgment with a strong attention to detail.

Ability to exhibit strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of the company.

Experience with computer troubleshooting, printer installation and maintenance,
Exchange e-mail, Outlook and other Internet programs.

Proficient knowledge of Apple computer hardware, software systems and programs.

Proficient with Mac Servers/Directory Services.

Proficient with Mac OS X, iOS operating systems. Windows and Linux/Unix experience a plus.

Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Proficient in TCP/IP network services, including DNS, DCHP, SMTP/POP3 and IMAP.

Strong understanding of network switching and routing concepts.

Ability to install and administer computer hardware, software and networks.

Familiarity with the Adobe Creative Suite of applications.
