Position Summary:Supports the development and assists in the management of Information Technology systems or services. Assists business unit implementation of such systems and services.Scope/Supervision and Interaction:___ Has Direct Reports __X__ Does Not Have Direct ReportsWorks with Division staff and other Corporate IT staff under the direction and guidance of Enterprise management. Provides expert direction to project leaders and technical analysts. Maintains operational relationships with vendors and Parker locations.Essential Functions:- Implements, maintains or supports IT systems and services with complex technical specifications or complex business functions.- Maintains these systems and services to be efficient and effective. - Creates standards for IT systems and services to provide flexibility and maintainability.- Provides resolution of critical situation technical problems.- Provides information to be used to promote the understanding and benefit of technology systems.- Identifies deficiencies in IT systems and recommends solutions/improvements.- Assist and train Technical Analysts to support IT systems.- Provides information to management identifying personnel, hardware and software needs to provide appropriate levels of systems and services within the corporation.Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with other database administrators, technical experts, and business analysts to manage the day to day operations of numerous Database Management Systems.- Provide Database Management and Support in the following areas:- Database backup and recovery- Database availability and resiliency- Database performance monitoring and tuning- Database change control- Database Security management- Structured Query Language guidance and support- Document Database Management processes and procedures - Develop solutions for a variety of technical and business challenges.- Support and assist the business systems application programming staff as necessary.Qualifications:- 4 year University / College Degree or a combination of industry-recognized technical certifications such as Microsoft, Siebel, J2EE, PMP, DBA or any other specialized certifications required for the particular position.- Five or more years experience in Oracle Database 11g/12c, Oracle Data Guard, and Unix Operating system.-Preferred experience in the following:- DB2 for z/OS- z/OS Operating system- Mainframe tools and utilities-DB2 for Linux Unix Windows- DB2 HADR - Windows Server 2008/2012- Microsoft SQL Server 2008/2012- Database backup and recovery technologies- Structured Query Language- Windows PowerShell or equivalent command-line shell and scripting language- Requires the ability to effectively communicate technical issues to technical staff.- Professionalism: Excellence of work, responsible.- Technical skills: Quick understanding, self-learner.Additional Comments:The essential functions have been provided as examples of the type of work performed by employees assigned to this job classification.
