VHB has an immediate need for a Transportation Technology Lead to join our team. This position is located in our Orlando, FL office. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to administer and help expand our growing transportation ITS/Transportation Technology practice across VHB's East Coast footprint. The position demands a proven ability to manage and execute projects and mentor staff.

Responsibilities Provide technical knowledge and management of VHB's Orlando ITS/Transportation Technology practice including communication, ATMS, TMC, and ITS roadside infrastructure planning, design, and operations Project Management responsibilities on major, complex projects Assist with development and implementation of our strategy for serving the ITS/Transportation Technology market Lead go/no go and partnering decisions on strategic pursuits Key client and contract management (Experience with FDOT is a plus) Manage external visibility/promotional efforts Represent VHB at conferences, seminars and industry events Prepare and deliver technical presentations

Skills and Abilities Ability to grow current practice within traditional ITS service lines, as well as expand VHB's involvement in new service lines such as master planning, power, testing and integration, and tolling Ability to expand VHB's visibility and capabilities within the area of emerging technologies such as connected and autonomous vehicles, smart parking and across all modes of transportation (including transit, rail, aviation, bicycle/peds and ports) Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, including ability to mentor staff and successfully manage and coordinate integrated services projects Proven track record of securing projects through competitive pursuits Must be a highly motivated self-starter Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Strong presentation/public speaking skills Must demonstrate superior ability in collaborative problem solving with stakeholders, clients, and teammates

Requirements Successful candidate will have 15+ years of relevant experience in ITS/Technology Transportation Bachelor degree in civil or electrical engineering P.E. license preferred Collaborative and strategic perspective a must Experience in managing other staff members
