JOB DUTIES:

The supervisor manages quantitative image analysis laboratory operations using cutting-edge analysis software for research studies and clinical trials. The lab is part of the UCLA Center for Computer Vision and Imaging Biomarkers (CVIB). Monitor status of multiple projects and manage resources to ensure analyses are delivered accurately and on time. Set up tracking databases and dashboards. Supervise staff and recruit qualified personnel. Minimal supervision by Directors of the Computer Imaging and Biomarker Program (CVIB) and Manager of the CVIB program. Abel to make independent decisions on daily tasks and duties. Management of quantitative image analysis laboratory operations, including hands-on use of software as needed. Monitor status of multiple projects and manage resources to ensure analyses are delivered accurately and on time. Set up tracking databases and dashboards. Supervise staff and recruit qualified personnel. Develop Standard Operating Procedures and train staff to ensure high quality analyses and compliance with FDA and HIPAA regulations. Report to, and work with, CVIB faculty, collaborating scientists, and clinical trial sponsors to achieve overall effective operation of the CVIB quantitative image analysis service. Provide back-up to other Department/Section staff. Participate in teams, committees, events and other group activities. Perform special projects and other duties as assigned. Periodically assist with services/medication authorizations.





JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of quantitative medical imaging techniques and processing workflows. Prior experience and working knowledge of various workstations (e.g., Vital Images, Osirix, Siemens Syngo) for quantitative image analysis and visualization. Project management aptitude and experience. Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology. Knowledge of imaging modalities and DICOM format. Working knowledge of FDA and HIPAA regulations relating imaging based clinical trials.
