Position Overview
The Quality Assurance Technician has responsibility for activities related to the Incoming Inspection area for Winslow LifeRaft Co. These activities usually involve inspection of incoming parts, inspection documentation, auditor interaction and the innovation of processes to enhance life raft quality.
Primary Responsibilities
*Support Quality Assurance staff in preparation of all documentation necessary for incoming inspection of life raft products.
*Maintain and provide accurate data to support quality documentation necessary in the delivery of parts to production.
*Maintain accurate information as necessary within the electronic system and the various Quality databases to provide data on life raft products.
*Develop positive relationships with operational leadership and personnel.
*Interface with auditors as necessary.
*Witness product testing and perform part inspection.
*Perform internal audits of products, processes and work areas.
*Perform First Article inspections in hard copy format and turn in for proper electronic storage
Required:
*0-2 years of related experience
*Ability to perform basic mathematics including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, and percentages operations.
*Ability to communicate both in writing and orally.
*Intermediate computer knowledge including word processing, spread sheets and email.
*The ability to prioritize tasks to support production needs and schedule.
*Basic understanding of drawings and bill of materials.
