Responsible for establishing strategic direction and ongoing management of critical activities in support of key sourcing categories. Tasked with leveraging relationships between BSC sites, divisions, and strategic supplier base to improve organizational efficiency and optimize business and financial opportunities. Role is critical to obtaining West Coast savings . Required to address stakeholder needs and provide management communication back to stakeholder
-Develop and implement Sourcing and Procurement strategies that improve on a balanced tradeoff of sourcing quality, cost, risk and growth.
-Support BSC corporate quality objectives through supplier identification, evaluation and ongoing vendor management activities for both Sourcing and Procurement
-Provide strategic influence while building relationships with outside suppliers and respective internal leads to increase organizational integration and efficiency
-Guide Plant Procurement, R&D, and Quality through a holistic & systematic category approach to supplier selection and management.
-Establish early new supplier involvement to achieve development performance goals, support project timelines, and manage product cost.
-Ensure sourcing processes conform to and are conducted within applicable state and federal laws and regulations as well as all Boston Scientific business and ethical guidelines.
-Responsible for meeting all agreed-upon Sourcing and Procurement metrics and goals.
-Properly communicate supplier issues to the appropriate stakeholders and resolve.
-Manage and ensure staff is performing at high level end of stakeholder satisfaction. -Coordinate and communicate Governance Council for business.
QUALITY SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.
-Assures that appropriate resources (personnel, tools, etc.) are maintained in order to assure Quality System compliance and adherence to the BSC Quality Policy.
-Establishes and promotes a work environment that supports the Quality Policy and Quality System.
-Establish and support a work environment of continuous improvement that supports BSC's Quality Policy, Quality System and the appropriate regulations for the area they support. Ensure all employees are trained to do their work and their training is documented.
-BA/BS degree in Engineering, Management, Finance, or other technical discipline
-SAP experience required
-Minimum of 5-7 years professional experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management and purchase order processing
-Remote management experience required
-Will lead a team of 4 employees in the achievement of organizational goals. Guide, coach, direct, and develop direct reports, and if applicable, drive those practices throughout their organization.
-Will direct and control the activities and budget of one or more functional areas, divisions, product groups, projects/programs and/or operations
