Champion Technology Services is looking for a successful individual to lead our North Carolina and Oklahoma operations. Champion has grown from a small start-up to a multi-location company that shares company standards, process and tools while maintaining the local entrepreneurial culture of each office.

The successful candidate must have at least 10+ years of direct Industrial Automation experience with progressively increasing responsibility. The Business Manager position has the potential to be highly compensated and is based upon and individual's drive for success. To accomplish this, they must be from the local market and have a very good network of potential customers and employees.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Business Manager is responsible for all business unit operations in their respective organization. Business development, client relations, financial planning/management and personnel management are the main focuses of this role. All activities and initiatives should directly align with and directly support the company mission and goals.

POSITION FUNCTIONS

Business Development/Client Services

o Establish and maintain Corporate approved facilities and equipment for each managed site.

o Establish, maintain, and continually build a profitable client base across various vertical markets, and specifically to achieve the established revenue and profitability goals that are in the 'Business Manager Profit Goals' document.

o Build a rapport with each client and be at the forefront of client servicing and support initiatives.

o Develop and drive individual business unit goals and standards to assure corporate initiative fulfillment.

o Spearhead business unit level compliance, quality and improvement programs.

o Partner with all business unit personnel to establish and enforce project fulfillment goals and standards.

o Establish and maintain vendor relationships as necessary.

o Responsible for maintaining ownership of customer relationship.

Personnel Management

o Partner with Human Resources and Operations to build, maintain and support a knowledgeable and diversified workforce through hiring, management and retention efforts.

o Coordinate and manage employee business unit/corporate communications.

o Directly manages engineering managers, project managers, engineering supervisors, technicians, engineers and administrators for their respective organization.

o Facilitate and promote employee career development and succession plans.

o Perform employee evaluation and compensation reviews.

o Facilitate team building and morale events.

Financial Planning/Management

o Review and manage P&L statements for specific business unit performance.

o Responsible for accurate project billing terms.

o Partner with accounting team to ensure timely receipt of receivables.

o Responsible for project and business unit profitability, revenue, margins, rates and utilization.

o Responsible for project forecasting and probability.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of Automation or Controls related experience (Electrical, Computer, Chemical or otherEngineering/Technical degree), or a minimum of 12 years of Automation or Controls related experience. PMP, MBA, International Business, or Organizational Management degree would be a plus.

Experience must include 5 yrs. of project management, P/L, budget planning, and accountability responsibilities at an organization that delivers project and or services to external clients.

Operational and personnel management experience within a Manufacturing, Engineering or Industrial Services setting.

Ability to intelligently communicate about multiple automation system platforms with clients.

Broad understanding of all components involved in automation systems from end device to control room to enterprise level.

Knowledge of multiple industry standards (ISA, NFPA, NEC)

Valid driver's license.

Reliable personal transportation with valid liability insurance.

Fluent in verbal and written English.
