BFA in Industrial Design or 5+ years of experience in agency design studio or in-house group. Advanced skills in industry related software packages modeling/rendering understanding model production materials and fabrication. Must have a complete understanding or organizational project management and production skills. Ability to work under tight deadlines and complete a high volume of work. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. HTML CSS and UX design is a plus
The main focus of this position will be to develop the design and manage the production of the projects/exhibits that will be displayed and rotated through the new Draper atrium. The position will work collaboratively with all levels within the organization creating a new and exciting showcase of Draper talents. Develops and organizes a consistent look and feel to all industrial Design concepts reflecting the Draper brand. Understand the design and production of large format displays and 3D exhibits. Advanced ID/3D vendor management and understanding or budgets estimates and negotiations required. Must be able to move quickly and comfortably betwen multiple projects. Able to work under tight deadling and complete a high volume of work quickly while maintaining quality. Able to understand content and copy and bring complex comcepts and products to life throught compelling strategic visuals. Teach mentor and share specialized skill set with entire team to broaden overall knowledge base. Continue to remain current in industry trends and to continually incorporate new concepts in designs and to share knowledge with fellow team mates. Advanced experience in Adobe Creative Suite Solidworks Pro CAD Cinema 4D Rhino 3D and MircoSoft Office Suite. Experience with Exhbit Museum design and government contracts/projects.
