Johns Manville, Willows, CA, is hiring responsible, quality-minded individuals who have a history of working safely in a manufacturing environment as an Industrial Electrician.

Hourly rate starts at $27.31 per hour for initial 60-working-day introductory period, increases to $29.02 per hour upon successful completion of the 60-working-day introductory period

Uniform and Tools provided.

Core Essential Job Functions




- Reads, interprets, and follows simple blueprints, diagrams and sketches, making all measurements and calculations necessary to complete job.

-

Performs available maintenance and repair work that is essential to the safe and efficient operation of the plant.

-

May operate mobile equipment, including fork lifts, manlift, crane, and carts.

-

May work with other maintenance employees during cleanouts and emergencies, performing any duties to get equipment back into operation in minimum time.

-

Instructs other Maintenance employees on jobs where it is necessary to work together or when requested by supervision.

-

Performs clerical duties necessary to maintain proper records relative to the work performed.

-

Maintains the necessary tools where required and be proficient in their use and care.

-

Performs a variety of routine repairs, adjustments, service and lubrication on production and plant machinery and equipment.

-

Other plant systems that you might work on include water, HVAC, refrigeration, compressed air, hydraulic, gas, propane, drainage and sewage disposal.

-

Assembles and installs all types of new or repaired electrical circuits, systems, instruments and equipment, including PLCs, motors, regulators, controllers, generators and switches. Plans routing and runs conduit for these installations.

Installs, maintains and repairs temperature controlling and recording instruments.

-

Makes meggar, voltmeter, ammeter, ground locating and other electrical tests. Possesses working knowledge of electrical distribution systems and switchboards.

Stays current on the latest types of electrical control, motor drive, and industrial lighting equipment. Must know national electrical codes, state and local codes, company rules and regulations as they apply to this plant, and comply with them.

Fabricates necessary boxes, brackets and hangers for electrical panels, conduit runs, switchgear, panel boards, and limit switches using drills, taps, dies, grinders, saws, shears, measuring devices, and other types of hand and power tools.

Instructs other employees in the safe starting, stopping and operations of electrical equipment as required.

- Ability to climb stairs and access all areas of the Plant
