Job Responsibilities:

We have an excellent opportunity for an Industrial Engineer located at our Indianapolis, Indiana manufacturing facility.

The ideal candidate will be able to analyze, develop and implement manufacturing procedures and processes designed to maximize utilization of equipment, labor and material. Candidate must also demonstrate knowledge and application of continuous improvement methods in an effort to improve production efficiency and reduce costs.

Area of Responsibility:

- Analyze and determine best equipment setup and process flow for maximizing processes of parts within a high volume manufacturing environment.

- Organize and conduct observation and analysis of personnel and work procedures to determine motion and time requirements within specific job duties.

- Assist with developing and improving manufacturing methods, fabrication processes, tooling, assembly methods, and quality control standards in an effort to improve productivity and reduce cost structure.

- Assist with co-leading teams of hourly and salaried personnel in Lean / Kaizen projects in the areas of workstation layout, productivity, safety and quality.

- Assist with implementing and training employees on new job methods.

- Performing ergonomic risk assessments and making recommendations for risk mitigation, as necessary.

- Partnering with engineering and other functions for new product integrations.

- Designing and maintaining operator aid visuals.

- Using ACE tools to track and improve scrap metrics.

Education:
BSIE or engineering equivalent with a minimum of 1 year engineering experience from an accredited university

Experience/Qualifications:
- Knowledge and application of motion and time methodology and techniques in manufacturing environment.

- Training in lean concepts (ACE, Six Sigma, etc.).

- Excellent quantitative analysis skills.

- Proficient presentation skills.

- Demonstrated communication and leadership skills.

- Ability to work in a self directed manner / minimal supervision.
