Job Description
Position Overview: To manage the Industrial Engineering and Accounting functions of Plant HW and HM. Responsibilities:
- Prepare budgets for the plant, including labor budgets, weekly expenses, packaging costs, and production standards for Plant HW and Plant HM.
- Oversee preparation of the weekly and monthly POVAs for Plant HW and HM.
- Analyze/explain variances from the POVAs as needed.
- Prepare/revise monthly and quarterly variance estimates as requested by the Divisional IE.
- Responsible for scheduled inventories of raw materials, WIP, packaging materials, and any Shaw-owned material that may be located at an outside location.
- Prepare capital and expense projects (requires CPM training), including calculation of savings.
- Prepare capital budgets for the both plant on an annual basis.
- Submit/review requests for job additions and changes.
- Prepare and submit project proposals for all areas of the plant
- Work with Production Manager(s) to improve manufacturing processes through efficiency improvements, safety, and quality.
- Member of plant QIT and Cost of Quality subcommittee.
- Prepare annual SUMM2 goals for the plant. Oversee monthly and quarterly reporting of points and savings.
- Oversee weekly production and efficiency reporting.
- Conduct time studies as needed in the various manufacturing areas.
- Assist in layout changes for the plant or any departments in the plant.
- Oversee and manage supply room.
- Provide direct supervision to staff consisting of supply room attendants and IE clerk.
- Champion for the Ergonomics Team.
- Travel to Plant HM monthly to audit Inventory procedures. Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Textile Engineering, Mathematics or Business Management with a Finance or Accounting concentration.
- Must have knowledge of Lotus 123, Excel and Access
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skillsPreferred:
- Previous Financial Systems experience is preferred.
- Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
