Johns Manville, Willows, CA, is hiring responsible, quality-minded individuals who have a history of working safely in a manufacturing environment as Industrial Maintenance/Millwright.


Core Essential Job Functions ?




- Reads, interprets, and follows simple blueprints, diagrams and sketches, making all measurements and calculations necessary to complete job.

-

Performs available maintenance and repair work that is essential to the safe and efficient operation of the plant.


-

May operate mobile equipment, including fork lifts, manlift, crane, and carts.


-

May work with other maintenance employees during cleanouts and emergencies, performing any duties to get equipment back into operation in minimum time.


-

Instructs other Maintenance employees on jobs where it is necessary to work together or when requested by supervision.


-

Performs clerical duties necessary to maintain proper records relative to the work performed.


-

Maintains the necessary tools where required and be proficient in their use and care.


-

Performs a variety of routine repairs, adjustments, service and lubrication on production and plant machinery and equipment.


-

Other plant systems that you might work on include water, HVAC, refrigeration, compressed air, hydraulic, gas, propane, drainage and sewage disposal.


-

Cuts, drills, taps, files, grinds, and fits metal for fabrication, alterations, or repair to machines, building equipment, jigs and fixtures. Welds, brazes, cuts, solders, and silver solders all grades and types of metal.


-

Plans and lays out work to accomplish their assigned job for maximum safety and efficiency.

Must be able to understand, troubleshoot, and repair relatively specialized equipment including but not limited to: encapsulation, automated packaging equipment (CPW's, ARB's, Q-Pakers), choppers, batt folders, K&S windups, curing ovens, Hot End fiberizers, fiberizer combustion systems, glass delivery systems, 36000 psi pressure washer, scrap & edge trim refeed systems, etc. that are located throughout the plant.

Inspects mechanical and electrical machinery and equipment; diagnoses faulty operation and makes necessary adjustments or repairs to keep equipment in operation.

Removes machines from service when they cannot be repaired while in operation.


- Instructs other employees in the safe starting, stopping and operations of electrical equipment as required.

- Ability to climb stairs and access all areas of the Plant
