Uses sound clinical judgement and critical thinking to oversee OMH Employee Health and Infection Control programs. Implements and coordinates the Hospitals program of infection control, prevention and surveillance. Provides clinical and administrative support for the OMH Employee Health and Infection Control programs. Broad categories of responsibility include preventive, diagnostic, educational therapeutic and involvement in community activities. Maintains positive interaction with patient, significant others and members of the health care team to effectively provide quality care. Works effectively with others to achieve a perception of professionalism, superior service and teamwork. Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required include: 1.Strategic and critical thinking skills necessary to oversee the clinical and operational processes of the department and for the statistical analysis of clinical operations and financial data at level normally obtained through completion of a bachelors degree in nursing and minimum of 2-3 years clinical experience in comparable environment. 2.Current State of Michigan Registered Nursing License. 3.BCLS certification within 90 days of start date. 4.Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with healthcare team. 5.Ability to utilize sensory skills for clinical and environmental assessment. 6.Basic computer skills in Word, Excel and Outlook. Contingent Variable BLS Registered Nurse (RN) 1-2 yrs experience Customer service skills are required
