Job Description
Position Summary:
Provide IT support for Varex Las Vegas, including remote support for non-office based customers and small satellite offices. Collaborates in IT projects both local and enterprise wide. Able to successfully work with diverse global workforce. Manage, monitor and collaborate with 3rd party engagement to provide high quality L1/2 support services.

Major Responsibilities:
Provide 3rd level LAN & On-Site Desktop support for all the Sites under his responsibility and to remote end users. Interact with internal customers in a polite and professional manner. Resolve and respond to questions received via telephone or email meeting defined SLA s.
Plan and execute regular IT equipment refresh (Servers, Laptops, Desktops, etc.)
Keep IT Infrastructure up-to-date. Maintain up-to-date documentation.
Business Software Support. Installing, Updating and Troubleshooting Varian suite of applications including MS Office.
Other Microsoft server application administration, including SCCM, and Smart Phone devices. Microsoft Windows 2008/2012 server administration (3rd level).
Maintains relationships with third party Helpdesk provider and monitors Service Level Agreements.
Creating and maintaining Asset Management Information
Supports major Infrastructure expansion projects.
Works in a proactive way with internal and external vendors and suppliers.
Analyzes system requirements and leads design and implementation activities.
Provides technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology.
Incorporates new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations.
Basic Avaya telephone system administration.

Job Requirements
Educational requirements:
Degree in computer science or equivalent desirable.Professional certifications (MCP, MCSE, CCNA) desirable.

Number of years related experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in a business IT support role.

Information Technology:
Sound knowledge of and professional technical experience with Intel based servers and PCs/laptops. Windows server 2008/2012. Current Client Operating Systems, MS Office Suite, VmWare, Veeam (storage in general), networking.

Customers:
Sound understanding of customers and their requirements.

Operational Procedures:
Knowledge of ITIL or hold the ITIL Foundation certificate.
