JLL, a full service real estate firm is seeking an Information Architect at our Chicago location.

Position Description Synopsis

JLL is seeking an Information Architect to join its Global Architecture and Innovations team. We are looking for a leader who has experience in both providing a vision of how to transform data assets into the information needed to support enterprise decision making, and the ability to realize that vision. This person will be responsible for observing emerging trends and technology related to information creation and will be responsible for promoting and carrying out pilots of such technologies.

A successful candidate will have strong and widely varied technical skills and the business savvy to understand how information assets can be used to provide a competitive advantage. Also, an ideal candidate will be deeply curious about new information technologies and their application, as well as possessing great problem solving, communication, mentoring and management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

*

Continuously advance the information vision of the enterprise and the high-level plan with which to achieve that vision.
*

Provide firm-wide thought leadership around leveraging data assets to the larger long-term benefit of the enterprise.
*

Investigate and be hands on integrating new technologies to improve business processes and decision-making leveraging information.
*

Ensure information assets are easily and consistently consumable globally, but at the same time enable the regionalization of assets for specialized requirements.
*

Define and drive the realization of best in class enterprise information assets and analytic capabilities throughout the enterprise.
*

Promote the usage of the existing and new Information provisioning environments.
*

Understand business strategy, analyze business processes, and propose technical information-based solutions to support the enterprise.
*

Provide technical leadership in order to build quality business solutions on time and within budget.
*

Facilitate communication with the business community, while manage their expectations with regard to how they can effectively use information assets.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

Must have strongly demonstrated knowledge of Legacy Data Warehouse and Operational Stores, data and information concepts as they apply to enabling decision making, and deploying Business Intelligence solutions.
*

Must have demonstrated successes defining BI Roadmap/Strategies.
*

Must be knowledgeable of a broad swath of enterprise data management needs and solution technologies such as MDM, Data quality tools, and Data Governance.
*

Must have a good understanding of Informatica data integration tools.
*

Must have good understanding of big data technologies.
*

10+ years implementing BI or other information deployment solutions.
*

5+ years working with Cognos and Microsoft toolsets.
*

Knowledgeable about capabilities of PowerBI, Tableau and similar visualization tools.
*

Knowledgeable about capabilities of Powercenter and Microsoft SSIS.
*

Knowledgeable about the best practices for data visualizations.
*

Self-starter able to execute with minimal supervision; Ability to work autonomously, but as a team contributor.
*

The ability to efficiently multi-task, prioritize, and manage resources in a dynamic environment.
*

The ability to directly engage in the process of implementing new technologies for research purposes.
*

Must have global working experience.
*

Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills.
*

Excellent communication (written, oral, and presentation) and interpersonal skills.
*

Real estate services industry domain knowledge.
*

BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.
