For this role, we are open to hiring candidates at either the Associate (junior) level or Intermediate level - specific hiring requirements are outlined below.

This person will join our Information Service Delivery (ISD) team, supporting application tools in Finance, HR, Legal, Audit and Risk Management. They will be responsible for the analysis, development, installation, modification and support of software and/or information solutions. Strong candidates will be familiar with software development (either through school or work experience), are interested in pursuing a business technology career path and have a strong desire to learn.

* Perform all necessary discovery and fact finding to fully understand and execute all assignments with limited supervision.

* Code, debug, revise and document objects or systems with limited supervision. May design based on functional area assigned.

* Implement the tested and approved objects in a manner which protects the integrity of all test and production environments with limited supervision

* Adhere to all solution delivery standards, service level agreements, and processes (i.e., Balancing, Data Security, Walkthru and Approval processes, Program/System documentation, Status Reporting, Escalation, Change Management, Problem Management, Software Development Methodology, etc.).

* Analyze business problems or opportunities and prepare detailed specifications and estimates from which objects will be written.

* Provide input into solution buy vs. build recommendations to management when requested.

* Effectively communicate development and production issues to the project team and/or the manager in a timely manner.

* Create effective unit test plans from the technical specifications.

* Work closely with vendors to effectively meet business needs and timelines.

FOR ASSOCIATE LEVEL CANDIDATES

HIRING REQUIREMENTS - DEVELOPER ASSOCIATE

* Bachelor s degree with a strong preference for candidates with a degree in information systems or similar field.

* One year development experience (note: experience can be gained as a combination of coursework, internships and/or direct work experience).

* With no degree, 3 years experience as listed above.

* Knowledge of at least one development language.

HIRING PREFERENCES - DEVELOPER ASSOCIATE

* Must be self directed with proven initiative.

* Focused on continuous learning with solid problem solving skills.

* Ability to assimilate factual data pursuant to formulating a conclusion

* Process and logic oriented

* Effective verbal or written communication skills

* Excellent time-management skills.

* Ability to be self-disciplined, flexible and adaptable

* Ability to work effectively as part of a team

* Comfortable providing status updates on a regular basis

* Highly organized with the ability to work in an environment where the ability to effectively multi-task is often needed

FOR INTERMEDIATE LEVEL CANDIDATES

HIRING REQUIREMENTS

* Bachelor s degree with a strong preference for candidates with a degree in information systems or similar field.

* 3 years development experience.

* With no degree, 5 years experience required.

* Direct experience with at least one development language (i.e. COBOL, JAVA, SIEBEL, PEGA, J-Caps, Ab Initio, etc).

HIRING PREFERENCES

* Experience with software development tools (i.e. Rational).

* Experience with testing methodologies with the stated major development languages.

* Experience with at least one of the major database systems: DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata

* Solid relationship management skills to facilitate effective working relationships with vendors.

* Ability to participate in projects and ensure work is completed on time with high quality

* Must be self directed with proven initiative.
