Description:
The Shipboard Information Technology (SBIT) Fleet
Support organization is responsible for the support of
all SBIT software applications for submarines and
carriers in the Navy Fleet. In order to support Fleet
work, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the ability
to work in a dynamic and technically diverse
environment. This position will work with a team of
individuals who interface directly with the Fleet in
support of all SBIT related requests. Specific areas of
responsibility will include the coordination of SBIT
issue resolution, engineering application support, SBIT
related software and hardware support, system
troubleshooting, support of the training of Navy
personnel on the design, operation and maintenance of
SBIT products, and improvement and maintenance of
technical guidance documents and training materials. The
candidate for this position must be able to demonstrate
leadership skills within a team environment, exhibit
strong organizational skills, strive for quality of
technical work, have a strong problems solving
background, and the desire to solve Fleet SBIT support
related problems. This position will interface with
multiple organizations at different locations which
include other Prime Contractors, shipyards, and active
duty Navy personnel. The candidate will need to have (or
be able to obtain) a Q clearance level. Some travel may
be required in support of fleet problem resolution.
Requirements:
Advanced:
BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science or
Information Technology from an accredited college or
university and a minimum of four years of relevant
experience; or
MS degree in Engineering, Computer Science or
Information Technology from an accredited college or
university and a minimum of two years of relevant
experience
Senior:
BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science or
Information Technology from an accredited college or
university and a minimum of six years of relevant
experience; or
MS degree in Engineering, Computer Science or
Information Technology from an accredited college or
university and a minimum of four years of relevant
experience
