Job Description

NCI: As one of the Information Technology Technician, Level 4 you will use your prior experience to provide Engineering, quality control (QC) and drafting related activities in support of the functional areas that are key in the I3MP arena at various CONUS location. Your professionalism and commitment to the position will be instrumental in ensuring customer success.

Highlights of Responsibilities
* Support the full life cycle of ISEC projects to include planning, design, development, engineering, implementation oversight, security, evaluation, and testing.
* Provide support in the Continental United States (CONUS), the Pacific, and the European Areas of Responsibility (AOR).
* Provide, in limited instances, support will be required in secure facilities requiring the appropriate security clearances.
* Providing assistance in the development of Performance Based Work Statements (PBWS) and/or Technical Data Package (TDP) and all other supporting documents in support of the I3MP. USAISEC replaces and/or upgrades antiquated, costly, unsupportable, and maintenance intensive legacy systems with integrated information systems that are state-of-the-art, secure, interoperable, and capable of passing voice, data, and video traffic at locations prioritized in accordance with the Department of the Army's (DA) approved Installation Sequence Lists (ISLs).
* Provide the I3MP data engineering process under this task order utilizes information and processes from the other IPT areas.
* Provide Facility Site Preparation: primary and backup power systems, monitoring and alarm systems, lighting, grounding, fire suppression, heating and air conditioning, physical security, loading calculations, and other technologies associated with the construction of new facilities that support the information technology for the Government.
* Support Outside Plant: outside plant infrastructure support to include: cable terminals, maintenance hole and conduits, fiber optic and copper cables, multiplexing equipment, Wave Division Multiplexing (WDM) (course or dense), Synchronous Optical Network Transport (SONET) and Passive Optical Networks (PON) or Gigabit PON (GPON) and other technology associated with Outside Plant Infrastructure that support the information technology for the Government.
* Support Inside Plant/EUB Data: inside plant infrastructure/EUB data support to include: power and grounding systems, environmental systems, optical cabling, premise wiring, and data electronics including asynchronous transfer mode (ATM), Gigabit Ethernet (GigE), Voice over IP (VOIP), PON and GPON that support the information technology for the Government.
* Support Voice (TDM & VOIP): administrative use (non-tactical) voice systems, to include: line expansions, new nodes, E911 services, Automatic Call Distribution, Telephone Management Systems, voice mail, VOIP, Timing, Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN), and other technologies associated with Voice systems that support the information technology for the Government.
* Support efforts in the translation of business requirements into telecommunications requirements, designs, and acquisition packages.
* Provide in depth telecom alternatives for the US Army in support of strategic modernization efforts.
* Provide telecom enhancement designs for medium and large-scale telecom infrastructures.
