Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford is the heart and soul of Stanford Children s Health. Nationally ranked and internationally recognized, our 311-bed hospital is devoted entirely to pediatrics and obstetrics. Our six centers of excellence provide comprehensive services and deep expertise in key obstetric and pediatric areas: brain & behavior, cancer, heart, pregnancy & newborn, pulmonary and transplant. We also provide an additional, wide range of services for babies, kids and pregnant moms.

The Infrastructure Project Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating activities associated with Infrastructure/Desktop Installation projects. This will involve: tracking, reporting, and updating project status, gathering and documenting project requirements, and identifying project/production issues and then escalating them to avoid project delays

Essential Functions

Must perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Service Standards of the Hospital(s).


Coordinates complex, multi-staged projects, keeping projects on time and on budget.

Identifies and sets milestones and provides clear expectations for the project team and for customers.

Distributes resources across multiple projects based on priority and availability.

Assesses a business s technology needs and translate that into technology-based solutions related to areas such as operational efficiencies, reduction in support issues & accomplishing business goals.

Works directly with customers to ensure successful implementation of custom IT solutions.

Troubleshoots and works towards resolution of problems with IT systems.

Works directly with IT staff to explain concepts and requirements of projects when assigning work.

Develops and enforces processes needed to maintain operational stability

Identifies and organizes day-to-day operation and maintenance tasks to ensure a secure a reliable computing environment

Ensures that services provided meets and/or exceeds established standards and if standards do not exists then this role will assist in the creation of them. Updates standards as needed

Establishes and maintains procedures for the configuration and deployment of all personal computers, endpoints and peripherals

Documents standards and procedures for information technology; including computer software and hardware, documentation, and databases within Information Services and other business departments where applicable

Ensures desktop security, including data integrity, file encryption and related hardware/software is in compliance with security policies.

Works with Client security teams to identify gaps in procedures/policies for improvement.

Documents and manages the change management procedures for all desktop or infrastructure changes that are performed by the team

Project manages the fulfillment of customer initiatives/requests

Manages and supports the infrastructure of ITSM (IT Service Management)

Assists in maintaining a multi-year Services Roadmap & Support Strategy for in-scope services

Engages with Information Services team members in at the hospital and Ambulatory/ Clinics in terms of systems and technologies, to drive innovation and advance the computing environment, and standardization.

Develops strategic analyses and share results with management

Provides end user support as needed and develop training material to enable user self-service.

Minimum Qualifications

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.

Education: Bachelor s Degree in Business Management, Computer Science or related field

Experience: Three (3) years of progressively responsible directly related work experience.

License/Certification: California Driver s License (CA-DL)
